Wah!Cade has numerous installation methods.
Linux
Debian package
- Download the .deb package
- sudo dpkg -i <filename>
Source package
- Download the source package
- tar xvf <filename>
- See Installation:Additional Packages
Ubuntu package
- sudo apt-get install wahcade
Development versions
Latest Release
- Install bzr (Refer to your distribution manual)
- Branch source
- bzr branch lp:wahcade (Ubuntu derivatives only)
- bzr branch http://bazaar.launchpad.net/%2Bbranch/wahcade/
Previous Release
- Branch the latest release
- cd wahcade
- bzr pull --overwrite -r <Rev No>
Windows 32bit
This procedure is tested with Wah!Cade 0.99pre8 on Windows XP

- Extract the Chardet package to a temporary directory
- From a command prompt in the chardet directory run python ./setup.py install
- Run the PIL installer
- Extract the Wah!Cade source
- Install optional packages
- Run the PyGame installer
- Run the Gstreamer installer
- Run the Psycho installer
